How do I book an appointment?
To book an initial Osteopathic Consultation or a follow up appointment, simply call the contact number for either the Sudbury or the Northwood branch and an appointment can be scheduled at a convenient time.

Osteopathic Consultation (Initial Treatment)
You should allow yourself 1 hour for the initial Osteopathic Consultation.
On your first visit, your Osteopath Sneha, will sit down with you and go through a detailed case history with you. This will include your current areas of concern and relevant Medical history.
It is advisable to bring with you a list of medication that you may be talking and reports of any scans or blood tests that may be relevant or have been taken recently.
Your posture and flexibility will be assessed (you may be asked to remove parts of your clothing). Special tests may also be used to test your back, joint, nerves and muscles in order to come up with a diagnoses.
The findings of the tests will be discussed with you, along with the diagnosis, how this can be treated, How many treatments may be needed and the various Osteopathic techniques that will be used in treatment.
Hands on treatment will then be given. This may include -
- Gentle mobilisation to joints
- Joint manipulations
- Soft tissue techniques
- Stretching techniques
At the end of the treatment, home care advice including hydrotherapy advice, exercises to be carried out at home, lifestyle changes/advice and postural advice will be given. Further appointments will be discussed and any further questions that you may have.
Subsequent Treatments
Treatments after the consultation usually last for 30 minutes.
As your Medical history will have already been discussed in the initial Consultation, follow up treatment will consist of a quick review and hands on treatment.
It is important to update your Osteopath of any changes in contact details, changes in health and recent blood tests/scans that may have been done.
